Facilities and what to bring

We have tried to make this a camping holiday where you don’t need to bring a lot of equipment.

Inside a YurtChecklist

You should definitely bring:

Wellies, torches, warm clothes and wet weather clothes. Bring extra rugs and blankets in case it is chilly, and hot water bottles.

We provide:

A fully equipped kitchen (see picture) complete with plentiful supplies of washing-up liquid, surface cleaner, kitchen cloths and tea towels, instant coffee and tea bags.

We provide a starter set for your campfire/wood burner – a box of firelighters, a net of kindling, a net of logs, matches and old newspapers for lighting your woodburning stove.

We provide lanterns and lights, all are re-chargeable and/or solar powered. Don’t forget to bring your own torches though

A fully equipped kitchenWe provide bedding and bedlinen for all the beds (this is a change from previous years). You may want to bring additional rugs/throws in case of chilly nights - and bedsocks!

We can provide towels at £5 per set of three, booked in advance and payable when you arrive.

Your own compost loo will have two good-quality toilet rolls and handwash liquid.

We also have a very good village shop a mile from the farm in the village of West Hill open 7am-8pm with butcher, bakery, post office, wine, vegetables, newspapers etc. Sainsbury's in Ottery St Mary is just 2.5 miles away and Ottery St Mary also has everything from fish and chips to a butcher, fishmonger, bakery and more.

Our four safari tents each have their own hot shower within the tent. For our yurts and bell tent, the showers are in the barn a short walk from the camping area. There is a dedicated shower for each yurt, no sharing. They are open 24/7, have constant hot water and are regularly checked and cleaned.
We have fridges, freezer, a washing machine and tumble dryer in the barn, all free to use, plus power points for charging phones etc.

Each glamping tent has a picnic table and outdoor chairs for up to six people.
