Q How many people can sleep in Sweet Pea yurt?

A Sweet Pea Yurt has one double bed and two double sofa beds. Each can sleep up to four adults or a family of six with children sharing beds.

Q How many people can sleep in your safari tents?

A The safari tents can sleep up to six adults. There is a bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with two single beds and a double sofa bed in the main living area.

Q Do you provide barbecues?

A We provide Weber barbecues. You are also most welcome to bring a portable barbecue with you or use disposable ones, provided you do not allow them to scorch the grass.

Q Do you provide logs for the woodburning stove?

A We provide a net of logs and a net of kindling in your welcome pack. Additional logs are available to buy onsite at cost for £4 a net of logs, £5 for a net of kindling.

Q Do you provide bedlinen?

A Yes we provide all bedlinen at no extra cost.

Q Do you provide towels?

A We provide towels at no extra cost. Please bring your own beach towels.

Q What are the compost loos like?

A They are honestly very fresh and pleasant, thanks to being regularly topped up with pine woodshavings. You use them like a normal toilet but instead of flushing, you throw down a scoop of woodshavings. Each loo has a basin with running (but cold) water. Each tent has its own compost loo, just behind the tent in its own little building.

Q Tell us about the showers

A All our glamping tents (four safari tents and one yurt) have their own individual showers with 24/7 hot water.

Q Are there fridges?

A Yes, we have fridges in the facilities barn. There is one for each tent, where you can keep your food cool. Each tent also has a coolbox, and you can swap freezer blocks over from the small communal freezer in the facilities barn to keep your food cool.

Q What about laundry?

A We provide a washing machine and tumble dryer in the barn free of charge, as well as clothes airers if you would like to hang out clothes to dry.

Q Do you offer pony rides?

A We offer pony rides to small visitors on our pony Ebony, who can carry children up to five stone and from the age of about three. Please enquire about riding times. Riders should wear long trousers, children must be accompanied by adults.

Q Can we meet the other farm animals?

A We offer regular opportunities for children to meet the chickens, ponies and sheep, please enquire for a meet the animals experience, free of charge.

Q Can we allow our children to range freely on the farm?

A  A stay at Cuckoo Down Farm is a great opportunity for children to have lots of active fun in the fresh air. Children should be supervised by their family in the same way as you would at any outdoor park or play area. We make great efforts to ensure the farm is as safe as possible but please use your parental common sense and responsibility at all times. Children should be supervised when playing in the woods and are not allowed into the animal enclosures unless accompanied by a member of staff.
